Dear Kings and Queens,
It’s time to dive into our third and final round of answers and get more insights on Events, Content expansion & Dev Insights.
Q: When is the Ninja tier going to be fixed, and what will the rework look like?
Great question Rob and one that the community has been asking for a long time!
With yesterday’s dedicated Ninja post we covered some of the key changes that are going to happen.
We’re working hard to make them live by the end of April!
The rework is focused on making the event feel rewarding and fair again by improving the rewards across all tiers, adjusting trophy requirements and a boost to Ninja stats. You can read more here!
Q: Are there plans for new dungeons or a specific dungeon for Gaspar?
That’s a good question Math Star!
We know players have been asking for a new Dungeon for a while now, and it’s definitely something we’re planning for 2026, most likely later in the year.
As for Gaspar, he’s on the list, but we’re not locking anything in yet.
When it comes to choosing the next guardian, including Gaspar, we want to make sure the Dungeon benefits as many players as possible.
That means , the decision will be based on which guardians are most widely used and accessible across the player base.
Q: Will there be a skill-based event like the Pro League?
Good catch, WinterSolace!
Are you a mind reader? Or do you have access to our planning documents?
Just kidding!
As we already hinted in the anniversary comic, yes , a new event is on the way, and we’re currently in the final stages of getting it ready.
It will be a skill-based event, with the goal of giving players something fresh and meaningful to play, while opening up more gameplay options beyond the usual flow.
We’ll share more once it’s ready, so keep an eye on the in-game news!
Q: How does unit movement work, is it AI or code?
That’s a good question, KingAlexis!
Unit movement isn’t AI-driven , it’s all based on coded rules. Each unit follows a set of behaviours that determine how it moves and reacts, which is what creates that “smart” feeling in battle.
In general, RR2 is still very much built the old-school way. The vast majority of what you see in the game is designed and coded directly by the team, not generated by AI.
That also means that bigger or more meaningful changes can take a bit more time, because they’re carefully built and tested by real people.
It’s something we’ve intentionally stuck with, we want the game to keep that human touch, where player feedback directly shapes and influences design decisions. Just like we did with the Ninja Changes for example.
Q: What is a secret about the game that few players know?
Hey , Scarlet, now that’s a dangerous question…
RR2 is actually full of little secrets like this. Over the past 12 years, the team has slipped in a ton of pop-culture references : movies, TV shows, music, books… you name it.
Some item sets are inspired by real-world themes or even tributes (there’s one tied to baseball, for example), some units take cues from rock songs or fantasy stories, and a few details come straight from local Frankfurt folklore or very specific cultural references.
And then there are the inside jokes… the ones only the team fully understands, but somehow made it into the game anyway.
It’s one of those things you don’t always notice at first, but once you start spotting them, you realize there’s a lot of personality hidden across the kingdom.
Now we’re curious…how many have you already noticed?
That’s a wrap for the third and final day!
