Dear Kings and Queens,

Update 12.6.0 is now live!
We kindly encourage all players to update as soon as possible.

Please note: the update may take a little time to appear across all platforms and regions due to store release timings.

New Obstacle

For a long time, pals have had free rein on the battlefield and those defending the kingdom did not have the means for those little creatures. That will change starting now because we are introducing a new defensive obstacle: the Pal Trap. The pal trap is a hidden obstacle buried in your pathway. It looks like ordinary ground, but its camouflage and purpose is to wait for the right moment. When an attacker’s Pal steps into its trigger radius, the trap springs: iron ribs snap shut around the Pal and lift it clear off the battlefield, where it hangs, caged and unable to fight.

Functionality:

  • It stays hidden until it’s triggered: attackers won’t be able to see it coming
  • It targets pals only: hero and troops will not be affected
  • It’s not a blockade: the cage lifts your pal , making him stay out of the way, leaving your path clear
  • Once triggered, nothing can take it down: the cage can’t be damaged, spelled or broken open early
  • Beasts are also affected: if the beast steps into the trap, it reverts to its pal form inside the cage
  • Release is dependent on a timer: the pal is freed automatically when the time runs out

Additional functionalities while being trapped:

  • The pal can’t move or attack, it is held in place
  • Pal’s ability is disabled and the cooldown is reset. Once the pal is released, its special ability is blocked and can’t be transformed into a beast for a period of time after escaping the trap.
  • The pal cannot heal or support your hero and troops while trapped
  • It cannot be called into the beast form with the pal flute
  • Traps only trigger once per battle, so placing more traps gives you more chances to capture a Pal. However, once released, a Pal gains brief trap immunity. Stepping on a trap during this time will trigger the trap with no effect on the Pal

A new feature is coming to the Blacksmith at Level 21: Pearl Crafting.

Whenever you melt down items, you’ll now receive pearl dust alongside your pearls. The more valuable the meltdown, the more pearl dust you can earn.
Pearl dust is stored in its own wallet and can be used to craft extra pearls.

How it works

Melt items → Earn pearl dust → Craft pearls → Collect

As you upgrade your Blacksmith, you’ll be able to:

  • Earn more pearl dust from meltdowns
  • Craft more pearls from the pearl dust
  • Craft pearls faster

In order to reduce the crafting time, you can also use gems to finish it instantly.
This feature aims to give old items more value and offer you more pearls when you melt them, creating a more rewarding experience.

That’s all for today! Thank you for your continued support,

– The Royal Revolt 2 Team
