Perk Extraction Slot & Perk Tokens FAQ

Items before this update could feature a Main Stat and with a maximum of two Perks. With Version 10.0 it is possible to give Items of your choice an additional Perk. This can only be done with the new Perk Tokens that are gained through an extraction process at the Blacksmith via the Perk Extraction Slot.

Where can I find the Perk Extraction Slot?
The Perk Extraction Slot is a new slot that can be unlocked in the Blacksmith Meltdown screen. It differs visually and functionally from the previous Meltdown Slots.

Do I have to Unlock all other Meltdown slots first to unlock the Perk Extraction Slot?
No, you will be able to unlock the Perk Extraction slot straight away.

How does the Perk Extraction Slot work?
The Perk Extraction Slot is there to create Perk Tokens, which make it possible to transfer Perks from one Item to another. To create a Perk Token, simply place an Item in the Perk Extraction Slot and select the Perk you wish to extract.

Which Items can be used for Perk extraction?
Only Uber and Pro Items are eligible for Perk extractions.

Which Perks can be extracted?
Every Perk type besides the Main Stat and Auras can be extracted.

What does it cost to extract a Perk?
Perk extractions cost Pearls and time. You are able to skip the time via Gems.

What happens to the Item I put in the Perk Extraction Slot?
The Item will be destroyed. Make sure you no longer need the Item. Applied Runes will also be destroyed. If you want to keep them, use a Rune Removal Token before placing the Item in the Extraction Slot.

Can I cancel the extraction process?
No, the extraction process can not be cancelled.

The Perk is now extracted, so what now?
Once the extraction is complete, you can collect the Perk in the form of the new Perk Token. Perk Tokens contain the extracted Perk with all its Forges and its Perk strength.

Extracting a Perk will retain your previous investment in that Perk and allow you to transfer it to another item.

Example: If you extract an HP Perk with 20 Forges, the resulting HP Perk Token will also have 20 Forges.

Where do I find my collected Perk Tokens?
You can find your collected Perk Tokens in the Token Inventory.

How do I apply Perk Tokens?
Either from the Token Inventory or directly at the Item you wish to apply the Token to.
You will now find a new Perk Slot in the Forge screen of an Item – simply tap on it and it will display all the Perk Tokens which are eligible for that Item type.

Ok, I see the new Perk Slot, but where are my applied Item Runes?
With the additional Perk Slot, we had to change the UI a little. Don’t worry, your Runes are still there, but now they have their own screen. Simply use the arrow to toggle between your Runes and Perks.

What Items can I use Perk Tokens on?
Perk Tokens can be applied to all rarities of Items, but not all Perks can be applied to all Item types. The list of permitted Item types can be found on the info button of a Perk Token or in the Perk Extraction selection screen on the Perk itself.

Can I continue to Forge a Perk that I have applied through a Perk Token and can I extract the same Perk again?
Yes, once applied, they behave like normal Perks and can be forged and extracted. The only difference is that you cannot remove them from the Perk Slot. However, it is possible to overwrite the Perk with another Perk Token.
